Fun with friends at the parade!

On October 23rd, from 2:00-4:00 PM, anyone was welcome to trick or treat in beautiful, downtown Hammonton! Kids arrived dressed in their best costumes to get candy from people business owners. A ton of  fun was had on that day!

Most of the festivities took place around Bellevue Ave.  Stores, restaurants, and even Hammonton residents were giving out candy. Although the traditional Halloween treat is candy, places like Eastern Phoenix, an Asian eatery in town, even gave out fortune cookies! One place was also giving out water bottles and juice boxes! One booth gave out spider lollipops– Dum Dums with fuzzy sticks that you would twist on the lollipop to create a little fuzzy spider! Although most were in costumes, some people went out in uniforms instead! (My friends and I enjoyed wearing our Ultimate Martial Arts and Kickboxing outfits)! There were many unique and interesting sights at this year’s downtown trick or treating.

The day was fun for a lot of people, including myself! Safety tip: remember before you eat your candy to have a parent or other adult check it to make sure that there’s nothing dangerous things inside. Have a Happy Halloween!
