The cast and crew of Newsises Jr.
This year, Hammonton Middle School chose Newsies Jr as their drama club piece. Newsies is about leader, Jack Kelly, and all the newsies living in New York. When the paper company makes their lives harder, they take a stand. The HMS drama club practiced almost every day after school to prepare and make provisions for the performances. They even ate dinner there! I think that their work paid off. They did an impressive job conveying and expressing the story. Everyone was perfectly on time with their choreography and lines. This year’s HMS play told a powerful story, on how sometimes your stubbornness is a helpful attribute.
