As I drove through the woods to my work, I noticed military trucks all around the factory. Some soldiers were talking while others were armed and sprinting in. I went to enter the building, but a soldier stopped me and told me, “Authorized personnel only. This is a crime scene, and you are not allowed to enter.” I walked back to my car and left.
I stayed away from that place for over 10 years. After gathering all of the information I could, I decided to make a bold move that I would never forget. I got into my car, drove off, and was never seen again.
I arrived at the building and, with hesitation, entered. There were shards of glass everywhere. I could hear faint screams that instantly went silent. When I turned left into the security room, I found a mysterious message on the wall: GUILT HAUNTS YOU.
“Oh no.” I already regretted stepping in. I turned to leave, but when I tried opening the door, it was locked. I found a VHS tape on the table labeled GRABPACK PROTOTYPE #1. I decided to play it, and it showed me a tutorial on how to use it. Memories started flooding back into my mind.
The door opened, and I grabbed the blue hand, noticing that one hand was missing. “What the—” I was abruptly stopped by a loud thud, and boxes scattered around the room. I already knew what was going on. I. Was. Being. Watched.
I ignored the weird boxes on the floor, walked forward, and realized there was a pad above my head on top of the door I needed to get through. “Well, what am I supposed to do? Shoot my hand at it?”
Sound of hand shooting at blue pad
THUD! Whirring sounds
“Oh wow, how convenient.”
I walked through the door and saw that same tall blue monster. I never liked him. Another blue pad was above the next door, so I shot my hand at it.
Sound of hand shooting at pad and sticking
POWER CUT
“Are you serious right now?”
The power was out, so I needed to find a key to get to the power room.
Keys jingle
“Oh hey! There are the keys!”
“Wow, that’s pretty nice.” I shot my hand and grabbed the key, but then I stopped and realized something. It was a little weird that when I needed the key, that tall blue monster randomly had it. “Oh well.” I didn’t think much of it, so I unlocked the door to the power room and turned the power back on.
Footsteps
“Hey… where did he go?”
Something went very wrong. The tall blue monster was gone. “Man, I never should have come back,” I said. I couldn’t leave, though—I was trapped.
I went through the blue hand room and into the crane room. Broken toys were scattered across the floor. I already knew what I had to do. I had to find the missing batteries around the room. When I placed all the batteries into the crane, it grabbed the glass container, dropped it, and the container shattered.
There it was—the red hand.
I attached the hand to my grabpack and shot both hands at a red and blue pad. The door opened but got jammed, so I had to crawl under it. The door slammed shut, and then I had to rewire a broken electrical source. I turned it on and moved forward. I made it.
I was in the toy room. I had to make a cat-bee toy. Once I made it, I put it in a scanner, and the exit door opened. I noticed an exit sign that said: RESTRICTED STAIRWAY, but I didn’t pay any attention to it and kept walking.
“AAH!”
That scoundrel, the tall blue monster, emerged from the exit when I tried to walk through. Alarms were going off everywhere. I beelined it to the conveyor belt and into the vents. The door shut behind me, locking him out. I slid down the conveyor belt and ran as fast as I could. He was right behind me. I did not look back.
I was so close to the exit when the door shut in front of me.
“Huh? Naghh—COME ON! OPEN UP!”
I kicked the door down and sprinted to the exit. The door slammed behind me, and the monster was stuck—or so I thought.
POUND SLAM CLANK BANG
There was a box above my head. I shot my hands at it, and it fell. The box hit the walkway, causing the tall blue monster to fall.
CRASH BING
I watched as he hit bars, rocks, and metal before scurrying away. I never saw him again after that.
I noticed a red poppy door with creepy dolls hanging all around it. Words were written everywhere: NO, DON’T ENTER. TURN BACK! STAY OUT! But I ignored them and went inside.
I heard quiet music playing in a room filled with red gas. There was a sleeping doll inside a glass case. A bright yellow handle was attached to it. I shot my hand at the handle, and the case opened.
Lights flickering
“HUH? AH!”
I was knocked out cold. I wouldn’t wake up. I wish I had just stayed home.
“YOU OPENED MY CASE.”
