HMS Play: Alice in Zombieland

Alyson Healy, Staff Writer

Wondering what the latest HMS play is? Well, here’s an overview:

The drama club, this year, is putting on the play Alice in Zombieland. What’s it about? Well basically, Alice and here best friend, Dina, go on an adventure to restore a “warped” Wonderland (which is the main setting) from a “curse” that makes individuals there turn into zombies.

While talking to Mr. Breuer and Mr. Brough, I found out that about 30 students total (participating in both the play or helping out backstage) are involved. Also, Mrs. Parasi is helping out with set design, while Mr. Breuer and Mr. Brough are the directors. They said that they like to put on these dramas because they enjoy getting involved with the students, and so that the students get to witness a side of them that they usually don’t get to experience.

When was the the HMS production of Alice in Zombiland? On Wednesday, the 8th of April at 9:00am and 1:00pm, the actors performed for the students and faculty at HMS. You could have also caught it at 7:00pm on Thursday, the 9th of April, too. “It is still a work in progress,” said Mr. Brough . However, after going to see it, I think it was pretty good, and the acting was great too!  It is definintely worth seeing.
