Under the neat bun, professional clothing, and science curriculum Mrs. Gauntt is an interesting person and I’ve had the pleasure of discovering her as both a teacher, and a normal everyday person. Many of you know her as just the science teacher in the C-wing, but actually she is the girl next door.

Mrs. Gauntt loves the Twilight, and Hunger Games series. Her favorite movies of all-time are: Beaches, and Bridget Joan’s Diary (she can quote them word for word).

Her shocking performance at this past Lip Sync will go down in history.

In the past, she has collected frogs; her favorite animal. If she could do anything in her spare time it would be ice skating, or play tennis.

She enjoys many different types of music, but currently her favorite song is A Thousand Years from the Twilight movie soundtrack.

Mrs. Gauntt says, “I am probably is most known for my horrendous laugh!”

Mrs. Gauntt was a drama director for HMS, but had to resign when she was pregnant with her daughter.

As a child she was obsessed with Garfield- everything was Garfield! Garfield! Garfield!

Like most students today Mrs. Gauntt wouldn’t read for pleasure only if it was for school.

One last thing I want to share with you is a piece of advice Mrs. Gauntt wanted to share: “Don’t give up on yourself! Don’t be negative! Be positive!”
