Meet Dr. Rudensky: HMS’ New Principal!
February 27, 2023
Hammonton Middle School just got a new principal and we had the opportunity to interview her to learn more about her! If you would like to know more about Dr. Rudnesky, then pay attention because this is your chance!
Dr. Rudnesky is a very talented principal at Hammonton Middle School; has worked in the Hammonton School District administration for 20 years! Dr. Rudnesky earned her degree from Stockton University. This is her first year being a principal, and for those 20 years prior, she was working in our schools. She spent four of them teaching and 16 of them as a vice-principal at Hammonton High School.
After working at the high school for sixteen years, we asked how high school students were different from middle schoolers. She has some favorite things about this new school such as the students. Dr. Rudnesky stated, “They’re a lot of fun and very different from high school kids.” She stated, “I like this age, they are very enthusiastic.” In addition, she also enjoys the staff. “The staff is wonderful,” she says, “and the whole building has a different feel. I feel a lot of optimism.”
In addition to her work as an administrator, there are many other things to know about Dr. Rudnesky: “I was a cheer, softball, and dance mom. I have two girls in their 20s, and I’m a huge Philadelphia sports fan.” Dr Rudensky continued, “I love going to Disney and Universal and I love 80’s music! I used to do karaoke. I have two dogs named Maddie and Winne; they do what they want.” She goes on, “I have been in the school district for 24 years, and before being a vice principal I was an English teacher.”
Now that you know a little about our new principal, we should be thankful to have someone as talented and as smart as her! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to interview you, Dr. Rudensky, and making students a little more familiar with you.
