The Super Bowl is the final or championship game of the NFL. Super Bowl LIX (59) was played on February 9th, 2025. The teams in the Super Bowl were the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Some notable people in the crowd were: Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, and Serena Williams.
The game was not a close game at all, with the game finishing with a score of 40-22 in the Eagles favor. The Chiefs weren’t on the board until the 3rd quarter. In the first quarter, the Eagles scored a touchdown with the score up to 7-0. In the second quarter, the Eagles scored 17 points, with the score being 24-0. Kendrick Lamar took the stage at halftime and took a shot at Drake by playing “Not Like Us” and bringing out SZA to sing “All The Stars.” In the third quarter, both teams scored and the score went up to 34-6. In the last quarter, both teams scored again, with the Chiefs scoring 16 and the Eagles scoring 6, leaving the final score at 40-22. The game wasn’t close, and the Eagles ended up putting in backup players like backup quarterback, Kenny Pickett.
The Super Bowl MVP was Quarterback Jalen Hurts who had an almost perfect game. Overall, this game was very exciting for Eagles fans!
