Frankenstein. Ghost. Vampire. Students and staff got their scare on at the Halloween Dance! It was full of creepy, terrifying, spine chilling laughter!  The SPOOK-TACULAR event was to wholly forget their worries and homework at home and come in your costume to socialize and to get your party on. The Halloween Dance was held at the HMS gymnasium on Friday, October 17 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. There were delicious refreshments, sugary snacks to get your energy pumping, and let’s not forget: a lot of dancing to the “Monster Mash” and “Thriller”. People came in varieties of costumes that blew the judges’ minds!

The judges appraised the students’ costumes by the spookiest, scariest, funniest, most creative, and the best group or pair. Some of the awards were the most creative, which was the artsy painter Mary Reitmeyer and it’s assistant, the easel, Tia Donovan. Finally, the scariest of all: the gory, back from the dead prisoner Neidy Rodriguez with her dark and eerie prisoner clothing with a red painted face. Without a doubt, the dance was clearly entertaining and full of screams and giggles. So, if you ever want to go get your scare on, HMS is the place to go.
